Principals Report and Fete News

Dear Parents and Carers,

‘For the Almighty has done great things for me’ Lk 1:39-56"

As we attended the Feast of the Assumption mass today, through the readings Fr Adrian reminded us that Mary by example asks us to be humble in how we live our faith every day, and called on Mary to pray for us that we may trust in the Lord and the gifts we have been given.

This week has been full of gifts. Stories that make you appreciate living in Australia. A staff team that goes beyond in supporting each other and every child in order to grow each person’s unique skills. A wonderful student body who holds doors open for adults and visitors moving through the hallways and who can have great conversations about ways to build each other up. Families who use time and talent to enrich our school community.  We are truly blessed.

Tombola Pots

Tombola – The pots for our very popular Tombola Stall are being sent home with each child today. Please fill them with treasures that a child would love and return them to the office by 9th September. Ideas for filling can be found at Fundraising Mums or Vicky Myers Creations (Wear PJ's to school on Monday 9th September as thanks for contributing).

Cake Stall

Cake stall – an invitation to bake is on the way. What will it be this year? Baking that chocolate cake or the secret recipe for toffee? Yum!

We still need more helpers

We love that the rosters are starting to be filled up.  Sign-up here Fete Volunteer Roster. If you can’t access online please talk to us during the disco tonight or visit the front office.

Donations and Drop off dates

Donate books, toys and pre-loved scarves. These can be dropped to the front office.

  • Identify items to donate to the White Elephant Stall. These can be dropped off to school on Friday 13th September between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Come through the office or canteen doors to meet a helper in the Maker Space. Items need to be in clean working order. We are accepting household items, great quality clothing, toys, games and sporting equipment. Unfortunately, we cannot accept large items, any electrical items, mattresses or baby furniture.
  • Get gardening and pot up some beauties for the Plant Stall. These can be dropped off on Friday 20th September from 3.00pm or fete morning.
  • Or why not put your talents on show by donating items to the Craft Stall. These can be dropped off on the morning Friday 20th September.

Yours Faithfully,
